Free for now. Not forever.
Fixing your Snapchat Memories costs nothing today, with every feature included. We're keeping it free while we're small and learning from the people who use it. It won't stay free forever, so if your memories need fixing, now is a good time.
What's free today
- Every export up to 100 GB
- Dates and places back inside every photo and video
- Captions back on, videos split into pieces joined
- Saved in Chat photos and videos, a folder per chat
- Straight to Google Photos, Google Drive or Dropbox
- Or ZIP files for your phone or computer
- No account, no card, works on your phone
Why it's free right now
BackupMemories is new, and run by one person. While only a few people use it, the servers cost little, and what we need most is to hear how it went for you: what worked, what didn't and what's missing.
So for now every export is free, with nothing held back. Your feedback, a review or a coffee help far more than a payment would at this stage.
Why it won't stay free
We compared the Snapchat Memories tools we could find, in October 2026. No other website we found does as much:
-
Saved in Chat photos and videos
Sorted into a folder per friend or group, with duplicates removed and voice notes saved.
-
Google Photos and Dropbox
Your memories sent there for you, with nothing to download and upload again.
-
Nothing to install
No app and no account, in any browser, on your phone too.
Every export is fixed on a server we pay for by the hour, and big ones keep it busy for hours. As more people use it, that stops being something one person can pay for. So at some point there will be a price. There's no date for that yet.
See the comparison, with sourcesWhat we promise when that changes
-
You'll always see the price first
Any price will be on this page, and on the upload page before you start. Never a surprise halfway through.
-
Started free, stays free
An export you upload while it's free is fixed and delivered free, however long it takes.
-
Never paid for with your data
No ads, no selling your details, and your photos are never used for anything but fixing them.
One more reason not to wait
From January 2027, Snapchat archives memories that are more than a year old and aren't part of your oldest 5GB. You'll still see a thumbnail, but you'll need a paid storage plan to open them. A copy of your own, fixed while it's free, means you won't depend on that plan.
Our storage calculator shows roughly which years that means for you.
